In the first game of the day, Rivers State Television beat AIT Ray Power 2-1.
Bassey Junior and Victor Hezekiah scored for RSTV while Edwin Anyanwu pulled one back for Ray Power.
Ray Power’s goalkeeper, Peter Abaje was Most Valuable Player after his saves kept the score line decent for his side.
Abaje said after the game that they will play better next time out.
“It was disappointing to say the least but we will surely play better in our next game,” Abaje told ChinaAcheru.com.
In Tuesday’s games, Wave FM will return to the pitch against Treasure FM while Tide will play Today FM.
In their opening games, Wave FM lost 1-0 to Tide while Treasure Treasure FM beat Cool/ Wazobia/ Nigeria Info FM 2-0.
Today FM will be making their first appearance in this year’s edition.
Meanwhile, Riquelmish midfielder Zazi Bariza has taken to twitter to voice his frustrations at being dropped from the team to participate in the tournament.
On learning of his fate, Bariza tweeted “Today my dream died! I’ve been dropped from the @TodayFM951 squad for the SWANHenryKalioCup.😩😫😩”.
The Team Manager, Emeka Dennar however said it was a purely footballing reasons that led to Bariza’s axe.

They shouldn’t underestimate these school boys. These boys have been practicing for a long time. Never judge a book by its cover. They didn’t take their time slacking off in their homes. They made their time worthwhile by dedicating themselves in practicing.
