Ethiopian referee Lidya Tafesse will officiate the opening match of the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations Cameroon 2016, between host Cameroon and Egypt on Saturday, 19 November 2016 at the Ahmadou Ahidjo Omnisport Stadium, Yaounde.
The 36-year old Tafesse, an international referee since 2005, will be assisted by Malagasy Lidwine Pelagie Rakotozafinoro and Bernadettar Asimenye Kwimbira of Malawi. Burundian Suavis Iratunga will serve as fourth official.
Nigerian referee, Mimi Iyorhe is the only Nigerian at the Africa Women Cup of Nations taking place in Cameroon.
