Sunset In Biafra is a Nonfiction diary written by Elechi Amadi about the Nigeria’s civil war from 1967-1970.
In this diary, he explains how the war affected people’s lives. He talked about the fear, hunger, and sufferings people faced during the period.
How war made life hard for many families and from the diary, I understand that war does not only affect soldiers fighting on the battlefield but also ordinary people who get caught up in conflict
IMPORTANT POINTS
One important point I noticed in this book is the suffering people experience during a war.
People struggle to get food and other basic things they need to survive, their normal way of living can change and they may be forced to leave their homes because of danger.
Another important point I noticed is that war affects everybody, not only the people fighting because families lose their homes, the people they love and their safety.
