Wizards, blunt razors and a failed attempt at killing a dragon

Picture

It was a weekend of shocks, near misses and a failed practical class on how to kill a dragon.

Then out of nowhere, the witches and wizards appeared from hiding, making the table vibrate with amazing shots. The PH City 8- Ball Pool League entered day 4 and 5 over the weekend and it gets more exciting.

Razor’s edge is blunt?

There were blunt blades on Saturday as Razor failed to go past Steve. With the Big Balls, Steve won 2-1 and 2-1 again with the Small Balls to end the encounter as 4-2 winner over Razor.

Razor lost again, this time against Sammy, 2-1 each for Big and Small Balls

Razor surely needs to sharpen his cue stick or possibly visit Okochiri with Baka who has been winning through what some see as uncanny means. He probably needs to know what Baka knows.

Talking about Baka, he won again on Saturday… Did that surprise anyone? Certainly not me.

Remember him (Baka) beating a hasty retreat on a previous Game Day against Nengimo69? Yes! He had gone into a 2-0 lead with the Big Balls before Nengimo69 pulled one back to make it 2-1 then win the first game with Small Balls tying it at 2-2 and then Baka asked for a recess.

Baka won the two remaining games to take the game at 4-2.

Star Boy is still shining

It is safe to say Whizkid has got nothing on Star Boy. We watched in amazement last week as Star Boy annihilated the Zen Master 6-0 and he was at it again on Saturday, IgoBoss was his latest victim.

Star Boy won the Big Balls 2-1 and got the same winning margin with the Small Balls, ending the game 4-2.

A comeback for Forté?

After losing scandalously to Razor on Friday, one would have thought Forte would not even turn up for the next game.

But after that loss he stated that he hadn’t played for a while and needed to get used to the Cue Stick and table once again. He also talked about the sticks being strange since he didn’t own his. He wasn’t just making excuses because his next game was a lot different.

Forte was up against Willy Woo and with one game under his belt it was a much better performance than against Razor.

He lost the Big Balls 2-1 but won the Small Balls 2-1 to end the encounter 3-3.

The Pen Dragon has been demystified

Has the Pen Dragon been demystified or did he just have a bad day at the office?

Well, the result from Saturday show that he won both duels but dropped two games though.

Against Sammy, it was 2-1 to him with Big Balls and 2-1 with Small Balls while against Zsi Hughes, he took no prisoners winning 6-0. That certainly made a statement, didn’t it?

High point of the night (Saturday) was no doubt the match between Sammy and the much Dreaded Pen Dragon.

Sammy took the first game to the surprise of everyone present.

The second game went Sammy’s way when he almost finished the game with Pen Dragon on 7 balls but committed a foul while potting the black ball losing the game to Pen Dragon who went on to take the lead finishing 4:2 in favor of Pen Dragon.

The Pen Dragon remained silent for over thirty minutes before he found his voice and his rhythm going ahead to destroy his other opponent for the night

Sunday’s Games

Baka finally falls

Baka lost 4-2 to Razor on Sunday, 2-1 via Big Balls and 2-1 via Small Balls

How did Baka fall? What did Razor do? Did he make that visit to Okochiri? Probably without Baka?

  1. Why would anyone want to kill a dragon? Who are you to stop a higher being from trying to end the world? I am one of the very few people who might be a little overly passive when I see this scenario coming. Maybe I believe these creatures who does not speak our human language knows more than we do and if we try to interfere with what it’s trying to do, we will end up barbecued. So much for the malliard effect but I have no plans of being a cannibal when all the crops have burned in flames. What am I saying?
