\u200bFormer Lagos Warriors Point Guard, Anyebe Ujoh and Plateau Peaks Power Forward, Buchi Nwaiwu have teamed up with Rivers Hoopers for the 2017 Basketball season.<\/font>

<\/span>Other new players who have joined the fold are Emmanuel Balogun, a Shooting Guard from Nigeria Customs, Solomon Ajagbeyi, also from the Customs and Oghenetano Emuhowo from Delta Force.<\/font>
<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span>These addictions were announced by the Media Officer of the club, Queen John late on Tuesday as the club intensified it\u2019s preparations for the upcoming Basketball League season.<\/font>
<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span>The former champions who made a quick return to top flight League last season after missing out of the 2014\/2015 season will head into the new season after finishing 3rd on their return to the top flight last term.<\/font>
<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span>The Port Harcourt based Hoopers retained 10 players out of the 14 that featured for them last season and added these 5 to the fold, with Ujoh prominent among them.<\/font>
<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span>Making a return<\/font><\/strong>
<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span>Ujoh makes a return to the team he won the League double with in the 2010\/2011 and 2011\/2012 season. <\/font>
<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span>He however left for Kano Pillars the following year winning two straight titles in 2012\/2013 and 2013\/2014 season. <\/font>
<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span>Ujoh then moved to Abuja to win his 5th League title with Mark Mentors in the 2014\/2015 season.<\/font>
<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span>Meanwhile, training sessions have commenced for the 2016\/2017 Nigeria Basketball League season. <\/font>
<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span>There will be one or two more additions before the commencement of the 2016\/2017 season.<\/font>
<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span>Delta Force, Kwara Falcons, Nigeria Customs, Oluyole Warriors, Hoops & Read, Police Baton and NAF Rockets will also play in the Atlantic Conference.<\/font>

<\/span>The date of the commencement of the league is as yet undecided but a source who should know revealed to ChinaAcheru.com that it will dunk off in April.<\/font><\/font>
